August 27th - Orientation

Today was our first day of orientation where we learned mostly about how best to navigate the city, and what COVID regulations look like. As a test, we had to take the above ground trams to get to the orientation location.

Afterwards, a big group of us went and purchased SIM cards and then went grocery shopping to stock our apartments as they all have full kitchens.

Food in Prague is very inexpensive — my breakfast including cold brew was only about $8.50

August 26th - Airport & Apartment

Today I landed in Prague! We were whisked away from the airport in groups according to our apartments via taxi and to meet program leaders who got us settled in our apartments. My roommate, Stephen, and I hit it off almost immediately and we went out to dinner with Anna later in the evening followed by a much needed rest.

Our apartments are way nicer than we expected! This is one of the two bathrooms — for only three people — in ours. Because we’re situated on the top floor, we have air conditioning!
